This is an example of producing a framed irregularly shaped gasket measuring 210mm x 355mm from the special sheet gasket "Three Sheet 201S" (thickness 0.1mm) manufactured by Three Bond Co., Ltd. The Three Sheet packing is a special gasket that combines the advantages of both solid sheet gaskets and liquid gaskets. It is impregnated with a unique viscous material in long and strong fibrous materials, providing flexibility and excellent conformity to flange surfaces. The processing includes cutting the outer circumference and applying an R65 curve to the inner diameter. ◆Issue Details 　　〇When using the joint sheet as a gasket and conducting a leak test, the leakage does not stop. ◆Possible Factors 　　〇The gasket shape is FF type → Insufficient surface pressure 　　〇No paste applied → Gas permeates 　　〇Thickness is 3.0 mm → Gas is prone to permeation, significant stress relaxation ◆Countermeasures 　　〇Change the gasket shape to ring type (inner packing) 　　〇Apply gasket paste to the flange contact surface and inner diameter end face 　　〇Reduce gasket thickness to 1.5 mm (especially for smaller sizes, below 200A)
